Peach Pearl Mica Powder is a cosmetic-grade pearlescent pigment with a soft peach-coral tone and a fine, smooth pearl shimmer. It is used to add warm peach and coral pearl effects, gentle highlights and custom colour blends to soaps, resin, candles, bath bombs, creams, lotions and other cosmetic or craft formulations.

The shade is a soft, warm pastel peach rather than a deep orange or a bright red, which makes it a good fit for delicate peach, coral, blush and pearl-effect colour themes.

Mica powder is a pigment, not a soluble dye. It does not dissolve in water or oil; the pigment particles spread through the formulation instead. Floating or settling can happen depending on the thickness of the base, the formulation and the mixing method.

For best results, pre-mix the mica with a small amount of glycerin, oil, alcohol, soap base, resin or the base you are using before adding it to the final product.

How Much to Use

A good starting point is about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per 450 g (1 lb) of soap. Add a little at a time and adjust to the depth of colour you like. Smaller amounts give a soft pearl effect; larger amounts give a stronger colour.

• Candles: use a small amount. Very fine pigment can affect the wick, so test first.
• Cold process soap: some micas can fade or shift in high-pH cold process soap. Test in your own recipe.
